Jess Ryan, MSNS, E-RYT, is now offering Reiki. A Reiki Practitioner in the Dr. Usui system since 2004 and Reiki Master Teacher/Trainer, Jess has rstudied other forms of energy work, intuitive healing, and distance healing.

What is Reiki?
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by a laying of the hands and is based on the idea that life force energy flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If this energy is blocked or over-active, then illness and stress are more likely to occur. If the energy is in balance, calm, peace, and health is promoted.

The areas in the body where energetic activity occurs are predominately found in the chakras, which travel from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. Each chakra corresponds to a physical area of the body, endocrine gland, mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional trait.

What Are the Benefits of Reiki?
The benefits are very individualized and wide-ranging, but can include:
- Reducing stress, and providing deep relaxation, comfort & peace
- Bringing emotional, mental, and/or spiritual clarity
- Relief during emotional distress and sorrow; helping in the grieving process. It cleans and clears the emotions from being draining and 
  offers perspective
- Relieves pain
- Improves good blood circulation, aids in heart health
- Reiki is used for healing for all types of conditions and ailments. Many clients experienced accelerated healing when combining Reiki
  with traditional or other alternative medicine / therapy.

What to Expect?
Sessions last 50-60mins. Clients remained fully clothed on a massage table while the practitioner places their hands on or above the body. Clients have reported feeling sensations of warmth, coolness, tingling, and a deep sense of peace during and after treatment. A series of three sessions within 6-12 weeks has shown optimal benefits for moving blockages. Please use your intuition to choose the appropriate amount of sessions for you.
